Works Customers Finish 1st, 2nd & 3rd In The British Championship.

Since we started making Norton engines back in 2009, Works Racing’s products have always been competitive, in fact our very first engine won its first 6 races. This season though has seen an almost complete dominance of the Bonhams Historic GP Championship (Lansdowne Classic Series) with three of our customers – Andy Clews, Mike Russell and Dean Stimpson finishing in the top three places overall. But for Glen English and Dean Stimpson (both Works-powered) knocking each other off while leading at Donington, Works engines won every single race this year, and filled 84% of the podium positions, 18 Wins, 17 2nd's & 13 3rd's.

So hearty congratulations to Sam and the Andy Clews Racing Team on a well-deserved championship win. Interestingly, their race engine has recently been stripped and inspected by Fred Walmsley, who declared it to be in excellent condition, not even needing a new piston.

Works Racing continues to develop new products to offer alongside our well-known engines. Last year saw the launch of an all new 4ls double-sided Manx type front brake and the in-house production of the 2MTT replica electronic ignition unit – both big successes. 2019 will see the launch of our new Road-holder forks, featuring sliders machined in-house from 7000 series aluminium billet and the latest adjustable Maxton dampers. Prototype forks were tested during 2018 on short circuits and on the sometimes extremely bumpy Irish roads. The results were immediately very impressive and fine tuning has delivered further benefits. Production forks will be available ready for next season, but only in limited numbers, so get in touch soon if you would like to order some.

Finally, we would like to wish all our customers a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.
